UBC Properties Trust is pleased to issue a Request for Proposal for a Lands
cape Architect regarding UBC Brock Commons Phase 2.
The project will be approximately 358,347 GSF in two buildings - one north
of Walter Gage Road and one south of Walter Gage Road. The northern buildin
g consists of 18-22 storey residential tower sited towards the southeast, w
ith two mid-rise wings framing the new Commons providing up to 600 student
beds. The southern building will replace the existing Brock Annex and provi
de up to 6-storeys of academic and institutional space, along with two chil
d care centres and rooftop playground. The project will consist of institut
ional space, legal clinic, 150-seat classroom, collegium, multi-faith space
, food service facility, end-of-trip facilities and large commons fronting
East Mall.
